The latest CNC Shield V3 is GRBL 0.9 compatible. It provides open-source firmware that runs the Arduino.
PWM Spindle and direction pins it provides 4-Axis support. X, Y, Z, A-Can duplicate X, Y, Z or do a full 4th axis with custom firmware using pins D12 and D13. it has two End stops for each axis (6 in total). it is Coolant enable. it uses removable A4988 or DRV8825 compatible stepper drivers. Jumpers to set the Micro-Stepping for the stepper drivers. Stepper Motors can be connected with 4 pin Molex connectors or soldered in place. it runs on 12-36V DC.
This board is used in 3D printers and in engraving machines. It has a total of four slots. It can drive four A4988 or DRV8825 stepper motor driver, 4 axis Arduino CNC Sheild V3. The steeper motor needs two IO ports. It means 3 stepper motors can be controlled by it.
