Product Description of DRV8825 Stepper Motor Driver
This DVR8825 stepper motor driver is the breakout board for TI’s DRV micro-stepping bipolar stepper motor driver. The full name of the stepper motor driver is DVR8825 Stepper Motor Driver with Aluminum Heat Sink. This module has the nearly identical pinout to those of the A4988 stepper motor driver carriers. But DVR8825 stepper motor driver is used as a higher-performance drop-in replacement for those boards in many applications. This motor driver operates from 8.2 to 45V. And its maximum provided current is 1.5A per phase without a heat sink or forced airflow. It is rated for up to 2.2A per coil with sufficient additional cooling.
These are some features of DVR8825:
It has adjustable current limiting
It has over current protection
It has over-temperature protection.
