Choosing a mini motor
Mini motors suit compact mechanisms, small fans, vibration feedback and electronics experiments. This range includes different motor types, so use each product’s specifications rather than selecting by appearance alone.
- Match the rated voltage to your supply and controller.
- Check shaft diameter, body dimensions and the mounting arrangement.
- Compare speed and torque for the load; a high no-load RPM does not establish loaded performance.
- Allow for starting and stall current when selecting a suitable motor driver.
For slower mechanisms, compare gear motors. Explore motor drivers and speed controllers for control options and batteries and cells for suitable power sources. Confirm electrical and mechanical compatibility before assembly.
