Description: this Ardupilot APM 2.8 flight controller comes with M8N Ublox GPS and vertical mount accessories. This version consists of the onboard compass. It can be connected if the external compass is connected. And this compass makes this version ideal for the use with multicopters and rovers. This APM 2.8 flight controller is a complete open source autopilot system. It is the bestselling technology that won the prestigious 2012 Outback Challenge UAV competition. This APM controller allows the user to turn any fixed or rotary wing or multirotor vehicle into a fully autonomous vehicle. It is capable of performing programmed GPS missions with waypoints. Here we have another version of APM 2.4.8 Flight Controller.

But this version of the board has no onboard compass. This revision is designed for vehicles where the compass should be placed as far from power and motor sources as possible to avoid magnetic interference. APM is mostly used in fixed-wing aircraft. APM is far enough away from the motors and ESCs to avoid magnetic interference. APM 2.6 gives more flexibility. This is designed to be used with the 3DR uBlox GPS with the compass. GPS/Compass unit can be mounted further from noise sources than APM itself.
