Match the supply to your electronics

Choose a power supply for the voltage and current requirements of the equipment, not just its connector shape. This range includes enclosed adapters, switching supplies and related power-conversion products with different installation requirements.

• Check regulated output voltage and the required current capacity.
• Confirm connector size, polarity and input-power requirements.
• Allow for motor starting current or other brief load peaks where applicable.
• Review cooling, enclosure and electrical-safety requirements.

For an existing DC source that needs a different voltage, compare DC-DC converter modules. Browse cables and jumpers for suitable connections or batteries and cells for portable power. Open-frame or mains-connected supplies require an appropriate enclosure and competent installation; they are not equivalent to a ready-to-use enclosed adapter.
